On the last day of 2023, the T-IBC production line on the first floor of Trinova's Beijing headquarters was officially launched. The first batch of T-IBC mass-produced parts underwent strict process testing on the production line and were mass-produced. They were then sent in batches to the Yingchuang Precision (Yingshan) testing site and the Heihe Polar Cold Zone testing site for high-low adhesion cross validation and matching calibration.
After 4 years of research and development, Trinova T-IBC has completed three rounds of independent configuration design, trial production, and verification. It has achieved self-developed hydraulic units and 6 key solenoid valves. At the same time, it has developed a semi-automatic assembly and inspection line for T-IBC with an annual production capacity of 200000 sets. After the successful production of the first batch of T-IBC products, a second round of winter calibration will be conducted on 6 models from four designated host factories, as well as a distributed drive chassis project, to further verify and optimize the calibration matching parameters of the first two rounds of T-IBC manual samples. It is expected to start mass production in June 2024.
This is another milestone fully stack self-developed new product officially released by Trinova, following the mass production of ESC/EPBi, EBooster, and EPB (pull type EPB and dual control EPB) with a new electrical architecture.
Leading technology and unlimited intelligence
T-IBC is a reliable automotive safety system product that integrates Trinova's mechanical and process design experience in the field of online control chassis, as well as the design experience of a new discrete electrical architecture electronic control unit. It combines the application data of the largest ESC+EBooster mass-produced product in China (over 1 million sets of domestic and foreign batch applications in the past two years), and is built through strict quality and process systems. Since its inception at the end of 2019, the Trinova T-IBC has gone through three rounds of dedicated design, closing over 40 expected risk points, verifying over 2.2 million durable brakes, ensuring the safety and reliability of the braking system, and providing solid safety guarantees for future intelligent electric vehicle travel.
Intelligent manufacturing, quality assurance
In order for T-IBC products to achieve high quality and stability standards, process quality and process quality must be based on a complete set of rigorous processes and testing throughout the entire process. Trinova has utilized nearly 10 years of experience in researching the first electromagnetic valve production line and the first ESC automated intelligent assembly and testing line in China to independently develop the T-IBC Phase I production line. Through nearly a year of joint debugging and trial production, continuous revisions have been made, truly achieving cross validation and optimization from design to production. The production line has achieved a good coordination of complete process technology, product performance testing, and data monitoring error prevention capabilities, covering more than 100 testing items for 7 major functional modules of the assembly, which can ensure product quality and consistency. At the same time, the self-developed full stack provides a great deal of flexibility space for the continuous optimization and upgrading of products, production line upgrades, and process improvement in the future.
